While Mairi’s focus is live performance, she supports her storytelling with an eye towards vivid visuals, and has been a lifelong, passionate hobbyist in fabricating, painting, sculpting, and drawing. She worked as a folk art, miniature, and toy repair and restoration professional for six years, and has provided prop and puppetry design to many performances, especially those with a need for the fantastical, surreal, abstracted, and whimsical.
